YW Volleyball

The stake is putting together a yw volleyball league! They will be starting Sept. 11 and going through Oct. 30. Games are on Thursday nights at the stake center at 6 PM. Let Sister Smith know if you want to play on the team, because we're combining teams with another ward so we have enough girls.

Kayana trying a new trick

We had a fun activity at Sister Smith's aunt's house in Highland. She was kind enough to let us use her pool for an hour and the girls had a blast. The weather was warm, and the pool was refreshing. We always miss our YW who can't make it to our activities because of family time, and we really wish everyone could be with us at each activity.

Girls Camp 2008

We had a great time at the new Heber Valley Camp! The cabins were great, the food was awesome, and the young women were amazing! Everyone camped in levels, so our ward was split up, but Jenessa and Nicole were together with Sister Smith as the leader; Maika, Monica, and Forest were in a cabin with Sister Dieterle, Katie Edwards was with her friend Katie in a cabin, Kayana was in the 4th year cabin, and Lexi and Megan were YCL's with Sister Day and Sister Thayne. Our favorite night was Thursday, when Bishop Norman brought his hot chi chi dinner, and we sat around the campfire and ate and played "this is a fork, this is a spoon!" Later, we went on the Faith walk and the Young Women were able to recognize the spirit in their lives, and it was awesome. We had a great testimony meeting with them after that, and I really grew to love every one of those girls even more! What a great group of girls we are privileged to know and serve!
