Young Women
Summer is here, and that means traveling, vacations, swimming, and sleeping in for the Young Women. We hope you all enjoy your summer activities, whatever they may be. We hope as you experience new places, people, and activities, (which include Japan and Columbia!) that you will remember the challenge from Sister Dalton at the beginning of the year. The general YM and YW presidencies have asked the youth all over the world to do 3 things each day. Do you remember what they are?
PRAY
READ THE BOOK OF MORMON
SMILE!
Doing these 3 things every day will help bring happiness to your life, and your Heavenly Father wants you to be happy! We want that for you also, and we know that when you are obedient to Heavenly Father's commandments, you will be HAPPY!
In the month of June, we had some great activities. Every month, on the first Tuesday, we work on personal progress with Sister Julie Martin. Our YW are really progressing in the great program and we are so pleased with what they are doing! Our joint activity with the YM was an etiquette dinner. Sister Marchelle Bell, Brother Day, and Brother Bettinson shared information about table manners, spiritual manners, and cell phone manners. Their lessons were very informative and we want to thank them for their time. We are looking forward to Girls Camp August 3-7 at Heber Valley Camp. During July, we will be spending 2 activities with our Camp director, Sister Melissa Thayne, preparing for camp and doing camp certification. We look forward to another wonderful camp experience!
